On September 5, 2024 at 7:10 AM, M.L. Kritsada Kasemsunt, President of the Ice Hockey Association of Thailand, presided over the opening ceremony of the new winter sports facility. The event was also attended by Ms. Wallee Saengwilai, Secretary-General of the Association, along with senior figures from the sports community.
The “Ice Cave Arena” is the newest ice rink, measuring 17 × 35 meters, located along the Chiang Mai–Lamphun Superhighway. The venue offers facilities for skating, ice hockey training under Chiangmai Ice Hockey, and figure skating under the Highland Figure Academy. The arena aims to elevate and develop ice hockey athletes in Thailand’s northern region, preparing them to excel on the international stage in the future.
